Shoe of the Day: Nude Bow Flats

It is straight up back to winter in Kansas City.  Cold!  But I've already switched my closets and winter clothes are packed away!  So I forged ahead with my spring clothes and some NEW SHOES.

If you Follow Me on Twitter, you know I made my first ASOS purchase.  I got a skirt, dress and these sweet little shoes.  I loved all 3 items and so glad I finally popped that cherry.  Now I feel like I know how it goes and comfortable shopping there.  On to the shoes and spring clothes...

I wore these little flats with bright yellow pants, silky pink blouse under a cotton bejeweled tee - Spring Fever.  Kind of looked like an Easter egg?  I'm not sure if primary yellow and pastel pink go together, but I felt a bit more creative than yesterday, at least.

Day 7 {Hello Yellow}

I got on my winter yellow today!  Wearing the bright sunny shade of my beloved yellow, but in the sturdy, warm and durable fabric of corduroy.  Yellow, Winterized.  This is Day 7.  And no repeats, yet!

Stripes Under Stripes

I've mixed stripes with stripes before, and you know my love for stripes...so this time I tried a stripe jacket over a thicker stripe.

My rules (that I completely made up, so take them for what they are) on mixing stripes.  There must be one color that goes from each of the two pieces.  In this case - I had navy in both articles of clothing.  I also think it's good to have different sized stripes.  Here is what I did, and liked:

My leopard flats are a constant go-to in my closet.  A must have!  They can spice up any neutral outfit, or add an unexpected compliment to other patterns and colors.

I first saw these cute summer sandals on my friend/co-worker and thought they were adorable.  I am always looking for flat, cute sandals - so I don't have to wear heels all the time, but still have something girly and fun on my feet.

Shoe(s) of the day - Jelly Flats

Back in the 80s and 90s I spent my summers wearing jellies in all different colors:

Now, 20 some-odd years later jellies are back, and I even own a pair (peep-toe jellies from Target a year or so ago when the first re-emerged -sort of similar to these - mine are smokey gray color), however a lot different from the ones above.  Jelly flats are fun for the summer and are way updated since the 80s.  Here are some adult, updated jellies that I'd romp around all summer in my 20s now:

Dress for Less: Ruffle Sandles

It's no secret how much I love these ruffle sandals by Pour La Victoire (I've posted a few times before, most recently in my latest Wear Now, Wear Later post).



While these are not suuuuper expensive, just kinda expensive at $160, which I can't really justify for flats. They are suuuper beautiful though... In looking for some similar, less pricey options, I found a close look alike.

I like that the ruffle is over-sized and dramatic like the Inspiration pair, but do wish a sliver color was an option... The pink could be fun:
