Dress for Less: Shoe of the Day

A double feature wammy for you today, readers!  Dress for Less & a Shoe of the Day!  Wowza.  You might reconize these adorable heeled sandles...

 By the ever popular and adorable brand, Seychelles, ya?  Well only one of these are the Seychelles Women's Gypsy Sandal and the pair on the left is actually significantly cheaper by Mossimo® Vivien Pleated Heeled Sandals via Target.

The Target pair comes in only Mushroom (shown) and black, and not all the fun and bright colors the Seychelles comes in (like this orange-coral color I love).  I ended up getting the Target ones, and while I've only worn them around Target and my house a bit - so far the seem very comfortable and look just like the Seychelles!

Day 5 {Sequins for Day into Night}

Maybe a bold pick for only 30 items, but I was able to wear my sequin top by day and night!  Under a cardi, it wasn't overpowering with sparkles and the jeans played it down a bit.

 

Sequins, turquoise bling, olive green cardi and orange shoes!  Seems like a lot going on...

And I was using my little turquoise wristlet that you recently saw in my purse.

Get Lisa's The Bachelor Profile Pic Look

We have to wait until Monday (1/10) to find out what happens next on The Bachelor.  Lisa M. from Ottawa, KS (however, lives in the Kansas City area now) made it through the first round in her pretty blue dress.  Before we get to her ABC profile pic look, and update on her premier episode footwear.

She surprised some people by wearing sparkly red heels out of the limo - of course this is a TV show, and most of the girls do a little something meeting the Bachelor for the first time, as encouraged to do so by ABC and nothing new. It was just for fun, and not a reflection of her personal footwear taste (in case you weren't sure...).  :)

After first meeting Brad and heading into the house, she then changed into her normal shoes she had originally planned to where all along.  You can get a glimpse of them after she accepts her rose from Brad at the end of the night:

Inspiration from the pages: Neon

I've dabbled with neon before, and to tell you the truth - I kinda love it.  Obviously in moderation, but it can be so fun to mis with duller (neutral) colors for a pop!

I got this outfit inspiration from the the pages of my magazines...

So I played with the lime/yellow neon color and wore with grays and black.  For the spring, I will pair this blouse with the army green colors as seen in the above inspiration page.

I even wore vibrant blue heels.  Just for fun.

Party Time, Part 1

I've had a couple of holiday parties where I've gotten to get dressed up and have a little fun!  To one of these parties, I wore my sequin dress I previewed last week, but first, I'll share with you my 1st party dress:

Worn to my husband's work party, and then to a friend's holiday party after that (2 in one night!) - I scored this turquoise strapless dress at Nordstrom Rack in Chicago back in October.  And because it was my husbands work party, I kept it modest with a black jacket.

I love these jeweled Nine West heels and necklace for a little sparkle to this outfit (it is the Holidays after all):

I've mentioned before how much I love J.Crew catalogs... I keep them all in a stack in my nightstand.  When new ones come, I flip through them for inspiration that I can take to my own closet (with clothes I already own).

Lace, sequins, metallic, patterns, jewels... oh my.  It's all the rage right now and I love it all!  But I do limit how many trends I weave into each of my outfits.  This one I played with jewels, around my neck and on my pockets for day and then added a lace skirt for night.  My day to night outfit:

Finally done with wearing the same ol' 30 items and on to wearing some new duds and kicks I've gotten in the last 30 days (and couldn't wear)!!

Finally got to wear the Urban Outfitter heels I was so excited about in my shoe of the day post last month:

Um, but most of all - I love these shoes.  They are pretty comfy - wore them all night and love the way the heel looks.  I just might have to get those mint ones, too...

I love the name, Shootie!  I also love BOGO.  Which is going on right now at Payless Shoes.  I'm not a huge Payless person, but every once in awhile they really surprise me and right now they have SEVERAL pairs of really cute shoes.

Remix Challenge: Day 23

Switched the pink accessories as I wore on day 3 for some heels and a belt with my Silver Lining Anthro Dress:

I think these subtle changes kind of changed the look of the dress...at least enough for this challenge!!

Favorite Blogger Outfit: Oh Fabulous!!

Oh these shoes on Rose-technically-Linda are just.absolutely.amazing. This entire outfit is just too cute.  I love how she wore a fun summer dress over jeans (as I have done in my remix outfit today, coincidentally).  This is a great way to stretch your summer dresses into fall.  Overall from the shoes to the dress, I like her look:
