Shoe of the Day: Nude Bow Flats

It is straight up back to winter in Kansas City.  Cold!  But I've already switched my closets and winter clothes are packed away!  So I forged ahead with my spring clothes and some NEW SHOES.

If you Follow Me on Twitter, you know I made my first ASOS purchase.  I got a skirt, dress and these sweet little shoes.  I loved all 3 items and so glad I finally popped that cherry.  Now I feel like I know how it goes and comfortable shopping there.  On to the shoes and spring clothes...

I wore these little flats with bright yellow pants, silky pink blouse under a cotton bejeweled tee - Spring Fever.  Kind of looked like an Easter egg?  I'm not sure if primary yellow and pastel pink go together, but I felt a bit more creative than yesterday, at least.

Shoe of the Day: Wedgy Crush

I have a major crush on wedges this season.  Wedges to me are SO comfy, and allow me to get some height and wear fun sandals, but keep my footsies comfy. So I got new shoes.  Really cute ones. Meet Jaxon.

Dress for Less: Shoe of the Day

A double feature wammy for you today, readers!  Dress for Less & a Shoe of the Day!  Wowza.  You might reconize these adorable heeled sandles...

 By the ever popular and adorable brand, Seychelles, ya?  Well only one of these are the Seychelles Women's Gypsy Sandal and the pair on the left is actually significantly cheaper by Mossimo® Vivien Pleated Heeled Sandals via Target.

The Target pair comes in only Mushroom (shown) and black, and not all the fun and bright colors the Seychelles comes in (like this orange-coral color I love).  I ended up getting the Target ones, and while I've only worn them around Target and my house a bit - so far the seem very comfortable and look just like the Seychelles!

Sometimes I pick out my outfit solely around a certain accessory or pair of shoes!  In this case, I can only dream of all the fun outfits I'd wear with Pamela's cute shoes (that I may just break down and get them myself some day):

Ahh! I have been SO out of the shoe loop lately!  I apologize for the lack of Shoe of the Day posts these past month - shoes do NOT deserve that kind of lacking attention.  So,without further ado, a Shoe of the Day post that's long over due (and no, I didn't even mean to make a little poem).

So you have seen my new lace up booties a couple of times (here and here).  I scored these after Thanksgiving at DSW.  I can't find them online - but they are by Audrey Brooks and they are the Sasha lace up booties.

This can be a great time to buy boots of any kind, as retailers are trying to get winter stuff out, to make room for transition and spring products.  However, it can be hard to find your size or the color you want before it's gone!  Some other lace up bootie boot options that I think are equally, if not MORE, cute and available (but probably for a limited time....):

Shoe(s) of the Day: Target Boot Reviews

After last year's big Target boot hit, I was wondering how this year's collection of boots would be.  I finally got to Target to try some on and snap a few IRL pics...

Mossimo Supply Co. Kachiri Leather Americana Boots:

 For $50, these are bit on the more pricey side for Target... but the material (they say leather) looks pretty good and the color is a pretty greyish-taupe.  Here they are on me:

The only thing I didn't like was how loose the ankle part was and thin the actual boot shaft is.  You can see how wrinkly the combo of this makes the boots when on.

Size - I find that all Target boots run a bit small.  I'd go up at least a half size and I actually went up a full size.

On the up side, besides what I already have mentioned - they fit even bigger calves ( like mine)!

Other cute boots I saw...

 Mossimo Supply Co. Kaden Tall Buckle Boots in Tan - These are cute and I love the Red zipper up the back.  They only had small sizes left in my Target store, so I wasn't able to try them on.

The top buckle around the opening of teh boot allows you to customize the opening to fit small to bigger calve sizes!

 

These are the same boots in the above, but in black with no red zipper.

I don't usually like cheaper boots in black, because I think it is easier to see that they are of lesser quality and look cheap.

I have enough boots, so not int he market for any of these, but if I were, I'd get the first pair!

Shoes of the Day: Prepping for the Cold

I've already got my indoor/casual wear comfy & warm boots, but not I need some serious weather boots.  Last year was crazy snowy and cold, and I didn't have proper footwear.

So this year, if I plan accordingly, it'll probably be a super warm winter and I won't even need these boots...  But I'd rather be safe than sorry, and these options are both warm and cute:

Tis the season!  I can't get enough of boots boots boots. Wear 'em with bare legs, wear them over tights, over leggings, over jeans, with skirts, dresses or shorts.  Tis the season!

Shoe of the Day: A Boot I Need

The last piece of winter gear I need are new boots.  Need, I said, but want is a what I mean, I guess.  And want is exactly the right word that came to mind when I saw these:

Best parts?  $53.  Yes, there is no 1 in front of that 53. and top opening circumference is 16" - so will fit my larger than skinny calves.  Boots by Ruche.

Shoe of the Day: Suede Wedges

Perfect for fall...suede wedges.  Anything in gray, I love.

So I got them.  Target Merona Myka Suede Wedges and I used a $5 off Merona coupon in the latest InStyle & People magazines.  IRL:

In store, there was gray (the ones I got/wearing), taupe and black.  Online I saw plum - which would be totally cute!
