I got some very warm and cuddly things for Xmas, that is certainly coming in hand now that we have SEVEN inches of snow on the ground...and they are so cute, I have to share!!!

Orange you glad to see my outfit?

haha, omg, lame.  Sorry, late night sleeping in the living room (whilst home remodeling ensues in the entire upstairs...more on that to come).  Anyways - I haven't worn this orange crinkle silk skirt from J.Crew too much, and it was staring at me in my closet begging to be worn!  So I added some colors from the purple family to it to make this very Fall looking outfit:

Even wore my fuchsia jacket and light lavender scarf to keep the colors all purpley - sick of purple tones yet?

 I sprayed practically a whole bottle of static guard on my bum and tights before leaving to keep this silky skirt from clinging to my tights in this cold weather.  Did the trick, but now I need more Static Guard.

I really liked this outfit. Felt pretty bold with all the colors, but not too bright or crazy.

Visions of Pink (& a J.Crew Casualty)

Pulling on my favorite stripe t-shirt from J.Crew, I cringed to find a big rip in the arm!  Horrified!  J.Crew should not rip - not one of my very favorite, go-to pieces...

Jenna wears her stripe shirt ALL the time, just like me - has her's come undone?

 

Well, I was able to cover up the rip with my hot pink (J.Crew via Ebay) cardi:

I mixed the hot pink and a plum/maroon skirt, for a very berry (ha - I couldn't resist) look.  I love these colors together!

 

I was bare legged w/o tights b/c it was 68 degrees in DECEMBER!

I put this summer dress to work again, and wore it around the Holidays.  Felt a bit festive in it. :)  I love turquoise mixed with almost any color - like red!  Just made the necklace pop.  Fun color combo.

I am loving fiery coral right now.  And mixed with this printed skirt, and an loose jacket, I really loved this outfit.  Plus the bright color made me feel really cherry. :)

Favorite Blogger Outfit: Fair Isle Love

I've been seeing quite a bit Fair Isle lately, and I love it.  Nothing says winter snow bunny and staying cozy better.  I have been on the look out for one my self that includes gray and black with a bit of a pop of color in cardigan form.  Cathy from Fashionably Southern mixed her sweater with stripes and I love the look!  I want to mix my future Fair Isle sweater with my sequin skirt. :)

Lace, sequins, metallic, patterns, jewels... oh my.  It's all the rage right now and I love it all!  But I do limit how many trends I weave into each of my outfits.  This one I played with jewels, around my neck and on my pockets for day and then added a lace skirt for night.  My day to night outfit:

Outfit of the Day: Untucked Prep

Kept my button up untucked today, and instead of tucking it into my skirt and fussing with it to keep it in and flat, I just let it hang out.  I opted to belt it around the waist instead.

Does anyone else struggle with keeping their shirts tucked in, laying flat and tight...without having to wear a shirt onsie.  I have one idea that I need to test out before wasting your time...stay tuned.

Getting on the Trend-Wagon: Skinny Cargos

With my Loft spree, among many other things, I picked up some fitted skinny cargos...  I wasn't sure how I felt about this trend when I started seeing all the celebs wear this look all summer, but these pants are comfy!

How the celebs rock the look:

Kim Kardashian, Jessica Alba, Leighton Meester and Rachel Bilson are among the celebs.  One thing in common - wearing them with heels!

So I pulled on my new pair of pants, sequin striped J.Crew top, and of course, heels (from last year, Kohl's):

Mine are not nearly as fitted, and actually loose.  But that's more my lifestyle, and the way Loft pants tend to fit (big).  I hope to wash and shrink them a little...

Tis the season!  I can't get enough of boots boots boots. Wear 'em with bare legs, wear them over tights, over leggings, over jeans, with skirts, dresses or shorts.  Tis the season!

Long Beach Dress, Thanks to Gigi!

This post is a bit delayed due to my Remix Challenge and then waiting to wear this dress on Vacation...but without further ado, a HUGE thank you to Gigi!  Why you wonder?

A month or so ago, I hit up Kohl's and got a few great finds, but left longing for one dress that I couldn't find in my right size and not available online...

So Miss Gigi emailed me and let me know she found this dress at a store near her!  She didn't just go out of her way to get it for me, but used a coupon to get an extra discount and then shipped it to me.  I was so excited to wear this dress and so I saved it for my vacation.  I wore it and I love it. 

And then I wore it right after vacay to the office over my J.Crew stripe T:

 This dress is so comfy.  Did you notice it has pockets?! Oh, and the zipper is red, not white as shown in the display photo from Kohl's. Thank you so much, Gigi!!!

reShoe of the Day: IRL Ruffled Boot

As I mentioned in the comment section of my post regarding the ruffle wedge boots by Elle from Kohl's, I purchased them!  I got them!  And I was so excited that they fit (my bulky calves) and looked just as cute in person as online.

At first wear - they are comfy (a wedge is one of my favorite things), yet provide good height.  They have a 15" calf circumference so will fit a bit larger calves, but also look cute a bit loose on average calves.  If you have skinny calves, these may not work for you.  The gray colors is pretty - gray with a hint of taupe.

It's still a bit too warm to wear boots - but you better believe they will make their debut (with an outfit!) at first sight of cooler weather. Stay tuned!
